Application Process Information
After reading the instructions, please fill out this online application as thoroughly as possible.
When you are finished, click the
SUBMIT button on the left column of any application screen or at the bottom of screen 4.
The online application is free to submit.
If you would prefer to submit a paper application, one may be downloaded via the SWOSU
website or you can request an application from the Admissions and Recruitment Office by calling (580) 774-3782. There is a $15 nonrefundable paper application fee due at the time of application submission. Please include a check or money order, or fill out the credit card information section of the paper application.
Graduate students must complete the admissions application and also file a Graduate School Application. The graduate school admissions application and additional information can be found
online or by contacting the graduate offices at (580) 774-3790.
International students should not use this application but should contact the Registrar's Office, (580) 774-3777, for application information and instructions.

Freshman applicants (first-time students) must:
- Thoroughly complete this online application. Once completed, click the SUBMIT button on the left column of any application screen or at the bottom of screen 4.
- Submit by mail an official high school transcript (or GED score report) indicating class rank and completed courses. Also, be sure to submit college transcripts reflecting any college courses taken while in high school.
- If your high school transcript does not show your ACT scores, you must provide SWOSU with a copy of the official ACT score report (or SAT score report). Applicants who have never taken the test and have been out of high school for more than three years may submit a written request to have this requirement waived in lieu of additional placement testing prior to enrollment.

Transfer applicants must:
- Thoroughly complete this online application. Once completed, click the SUBMIT button on the left column of any application screen or at the bottom of screen 4.
- Submit by mail official college transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended, including dates of degrees earned. If you withdrew from an institution without earning any college credit, you must have that institution send an official transcript or letter verifying your withdrawal.
- If you are transferring with fewer than 24 college credit hours earned, you must provide SWOSU with your official high school transcript and ACT (or SAT) test scores. Transfer applicants with 24 or more college credit hours earned are not required to submit high school transcripts.
- U.S. military veterans should submit the relevant CCAF, AARTRS, or SMART transcripts and verification of any courses or service schools completed.
