You are an ophthalmologist testing the eyes of twin boys. You find it interesting that their vision varies. Tom is near-sighted. His twin, Hector, has almost perfect vision.

During your tests, you discover that Tom can see an object while standing 15 feet away from it. Hector can see the object clearly at a distance of 20 feet.

You record your measurements in the metric system. At how many meters can Tom see the object? At how many meters can Hector see the object?

Remember:

1 foot = 0.3048 meters

You flash up different letters on a screen for Tom to read. Of the 15 letters you showed him, Tom could positively identify 8. What percentage of letters could Tom read?
